Give us a brief introduction about yourself
I am a Jordanian designer, based in Dubai.
When did you realize you want to become an artist/illustrator/designer?
I started painting and playing music at a very young age.
If you weren’t an artist, what would you be?
I like Fashion. As a little girl, I always wanted to design my clothes & shoes and picked my own outfits. I used to sketch for my friends at school.
I work with both established & emerging fashion designers and I support young talents from the region. I might design my own line one day!
In terms of your craft, which taught you more, school or life?
Both! School taught me discipline, and life gave me freedom. They go hand in hand. Isn't it all about balance?
How do you start working on a project?
Each project has its own creative process, but I have to develop a connection first, whether with a brand or a person. From concept design/brainstorm to the final product.
Who is the most inspiring person to you?
My Father. I miss him.
I am always surrounded by inspiring creative people, and my husband is one of them.
What's your favorite pastime?
I used to sing with a band. KAZZ 2002-2006.
Mediterranean & Asian.
Do you mean Musicians? I am only interested in good music. I love classical music, it's been with me since I was young as I played the Piano. I used to be a big fan of Tori Amos in my twenties. My style of music keeps changing as I grow older I guess? I like 60s/70s Rock, Acid Jazz, and good electronica genres.
I am claustrophobic.
Raw nature, my cat, coffee & dark chocolate.
